A PRACTICAL GUIDE

Prepare. Plant. Care.

01

Choose the pot and position

Use a pot with drainage and a size appropriate to the root ball. Check the light needs of your plant before choosing its position. Empty water that collects in an outer decorative pot.

02

Prepare the growing medium

Hydrate compressed products as directed and loosen thoroughly. For suitable tropical foliage plants, coir chips can add coarse structure and air spaces while retaining some moisture within the chips. Blend with finer coir or other appropriate components, and match the finished mix to the plant and pot.

03

Repot thoughtfully

Repot when the plant needs more root space or the medium has deteriorated. Avoid a much larger pot holding wet, unused compost around a small root ball. Keep the plant at its appropriate planting depth.

04

Water and feed by observation

Check moisture below the surface and the weight of the pot. Adjust care as light and growth change. Follow the product’s feeding instructions and avoid adding extra fertiliser automatically to a mix that already contains feed.
